History of the owner – Mr Satish Kumar

Mishriwala Janta fruit ice cream is a well-known shop.  While attending a reputed college in Jammu, Satish, the owner of this ice cream parlour often visited the ice cream parlour in Talab Tilo, founded by his teacher. His teacher used to leave the parlour to him whenever he was busy. His introduction to the ice cream parlour and selling the product came about that way.

As a result, he decided to open his own parlour if he weren’t successful in getting a government job. After completing his engineering degree, he began preparing for government exams. Sadly, he missed a few of them and did not get selected. He didn’t give up, and found a job near Jammu as a site engineer, earning 15000 rupees a month. His mind kept buzzing with ideas to start his own, so he decided to do so. After five months, he decided the job wasn’t for him, so he quit and started his own business.

Journey until famous Janta Ice cream

Rather than starting alone, he partnered with his school friend. With some of his money and a friend’s support, he set up his own Food Point in Mishriwala. Since this area is between Jewell and Akhnoor in Jammu, he can target a big crowd that will pay a little extra for quality ice cream. He was able to set up all the infrastructure in one month due to his previous experience with Talab Tilo. The shop ran smoothly for 3-4 months. People noticed a quality difference in their ice cream as they enjoyed it. The word spread that this ice cream parlour offers good quality. 

Suddenly, disagreements began to arise between him and his friend. Once he realised that, he settled all financial matters with him after giving a decent time frame of two months. Due to his full-time job, he has recently hired a boy to support him while he is away from his Ice cream parlour in Mishriwala. It is a salaried worker who takes care of the business well.
