A little introduction about Aakriti School For Mentally Challenged and special need children/persons. It was founded in 2004 by Mr. Anurag Agrawal and Mrs. Mani Agrawal. They have two sons Vibhor and Yogesh. Main vision was to provide rehabilitation and special trainings locally to these kids. They accepted all special needs person regardless of their age and disability type.In 2007, Aakriti was registered under The Societies Registration Act of 1860 as association for Ability. These children attend various types of trainings and workshops for rakhi making, diya making , candle making etc.
Rakhi festival is coming soon, a festival to celebrate the love and bonding between siblings. I also celebrate this festival every year. When I was in Singapore, I came to know about Aakriti NGO from Facebook. They are into rakhi making and many more handicrafts, beautifully made by the hands of special kids. These kids are mentally challenged but their hands design beautiful crafts. I started to place my orders for Rakhi from them.
For now, Mrs. Mani is only managing everything on her behalf. Local Indian society is really helpful. She arranges various stalls locally to display the work done by these special kids. This rakhi will be special for these kids if we can buy rakhi online from them and contribute to the future of the kids. She is really active on watsup, she also owns a website and Facebook page.
